Walk for Prems 2019

On Sunday 27th October we proudly performed at Life's Little Treasures' Walk for Prems 10 year celebration. As we arrived to the Arthur Davis park we where instantly overwhelmed to see how great the turn out was for the walk. After having a baby of our own now we feel an understanding of hardship that some parents face but we could never truly imagine the grief of losing a child to prematurity.

Our eyes welled up with tears as we listened to the speeches by the volunteers and sponsors. We felt so saddened to be listening to something so real that we all dismiss on a daily basis that so many people are/have done or will go through in their life.

After a beautiful poem, a handful of people held and released white doves into the fresh air as a way to symbolise the souls that unfortunately aren't here today. The weather was perfect for a morning walk, the sun was out and the breeze was cool. They had a jumping castle for the kids as well as a couple of food vans and of course live entertainment. After playing our first set we cleared the stage and up came a circus / magic act. They where great! The kids all got up and about dancing and laughing as they were entertained and amazing by this wonderful duo. Brodie and I had a great time and shared a few magical moments to ourself as we realised how lucky we are and how incredible it's going to be watching our little girl, Norah laugh and dance and interact with us when she is bigger and can attend these events.
