Tina & George's Riverside Celebration | Mooloolah River, Sunshine Coast

On a perfect summer’s day by the serene banks of the Mooloolah River, we arrived at The Savvy Squire to set the scene for Tina & George’s wedding reception. The sun was shining, the river views were absolutely stunning, and the air was filled with that unmistakable sense of joy and anticipation.

As guests began arriving from the ceremony—smiling faces of family, friends, and loved ones filled the room—we played softly in the background, adding a gentle acoustic soundtrack to their reunions and conversations. The energy was warm and heartfelt, setting the perfect tone for what was to come.

Then came the big moment: Tina & George’s grand entrance! As requested, Brad played "Adventure of a Lifetime" by Coldplay as the newlyweds burst into the room, hand in hand, surrounded by cheers, claps, and beaming smiles. It was a truly electric moment, and one we’ll remember for a long time.

From there, the afternoon flowed beautifully. We moved through our acoustic setlist, reading the room and keeping the vibe just right—laid-back, romantic, and celebratory. During our break, we wandered the room and had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly talented Jennie Rutz, a live wedding illustrator who was creating personalized sketches of every guest! She even captured us—how cool is that?

It was also such a joy to finally meet Tina & George in person. After months of chatting over email, being able to share a hug, a laugh, and heartfelt congratulations made the day even more special.

After another round of live tunes, it was time for speeches and the much-anticipated cake cutting, followed by Tina & George’s first dance. They chose “Bloom” by The Paper Kites, and asked us to learn it especially for their day—a beautiful Aussie indie love song that suited the moment perfectly.

The couple had booked our Acoustic Afternoon package, which meant the day wrapped up with some feel-good sing-along favourites that had everyone dancing and singing along.

Tina & George, thank you for having us be part of your celebration. It was such a privilege to soundtrack your special day, and we wish you a lifetime full of love, laughter, and adventure.
