A Grand Cathedral Ceremony & Industrial-Chic Reception: Ben & Shonay's Brisbane City Wedding
We love it when a wedding mixes classic history with a fun, modern party vibe. Ben and Shonay’s Brisbane City wedding did exactly that! As a live acoustic duo and DJ team, we see a lot of weddings, but the energy at this one was amazing from start to finish. Here is a look at their perfect day.

A Classic Cathedral Ceremony
The day started in a stunning historic cathedral in Brisbane. With its high stone walls and beautiful wooden details, it was the perfect place for Ben and Shonay to tie the knot.
While guests found their seats, we played relaxed acoustic music. The sound in these old stone buildings is incredible, and the acoustic guitar fills the room beautifully.
When Shonay walked down the aisle, we played a live acoustic version of Sunshine Of My Life by Stevie Wonder. It was a very special moment when Ben saw her for the first time.

Beautiful Bridal Details
Shonay looked amazing in a modern, elegant dress with delicate beading.
Her bouquet was a classic mix of crisp white roses and orchids. It looked fresh and stunning against the historic cathedral steps.

Sunset Drinks and Acoustic Tunes
After the ceremony, everyone headed to a cool, industrial warehouse venue in the heart of Brisbane.
While guests enjoyed the sunset and a few drinks, we played fun, upbeat acoustic covers. This is a great way to get everyone in a party mood before the reception officially starts.

A Cool Warehouse Reception
The reception space looked incredible. It had exposed brick walls, rich wooden floors, and warm festoon lights overhead. It was the perfect mix of raw warehouse style and romantic candles.

To kick off the night, Ben and Shonay poured a massive champagne tower. It was such a fun way to start the party!

Their wedding cake was a simple and beautiful three-tiered cake, decorated with fresh white flowers to match the ceremony.

Time to Party: The DJ Set
After a lovely dinner with some background acoustic music, it was time to turn things up. We swapped the guitar for the DJ decks to get the dance floor moving.
Ben and Shonay brought out colorful foam glow sticks for everyone! As soon as the first big dance track played, the warehouse turned into an epic, neon-lit party.

The dance floor stayed packed all night. Thank you, Ben and Shonay, for having us. It was a wedding we will never forget!
