A Rooftop Proposal to a Chapel Ceremony: Dylan & Nicole’s Timeless Brisbane Wedding

Love stories are so special especially when they come full circle. Dylan and Nicole’s wedding journey was one we’ll never forget — and it all began with a rooftop proposal and a simple, heartfelt email.
Years ago, Dylan reached out with a request that immediately moved us. He wanted Brad to perform live during his proposal to the love of his life, Nicole. The location? The rooftop of their Brisbane apartment building, with the city skyline glowing in the background. Dylan had chosen “Magic” by Coldplay — a song that held deep meaning for them as a couple — and Brad spent days perfecting it for this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
On the big day, Brad arrived early and set up quietly on the rooftop. With his guitar in hand and nerves buzzing, he began to play as Nicole — fresh from a long day at work — was guided upstairs. Her surprise turned to joy as she saw Dylan down on one knee, asking her to spend forever with him. It was an incredibly moving moment, and one we were honoured to be a part of.
Fast forward a few years later, we were delighted to see Dylan’s name pop up in our inbox again. This time, he and Nicole were planning their wedding — and they wanted Brad and Brodie to provide live music and DJ entertainment for the whole celebration. To be asked to perform at both the proposal and the wedding? It was a true career highlight and such a beautiful full-circle moment.
The couple planned a stunning Brisbane wedding day, starting with a heartfelt ceremony at the elegant Broadway Chapel. With its warm timber tones, stained glass windows, and vintage charm, the chapel created a timeless atmosphere for Dylan and Nicole to exchange vows. The ceremony, officiated by the lovely Natasha Hill of Hills Celebrant, was intimate, emotional, and perfectly suited to the couple’s story.
After the ceremony, we made our way across town to the iconic Greek Club in West End — a sophisticated, modern venue with city views and a fantastic reception space. We quickly set up our acoustic stage and DJ booth while guests began to arrive.
One of the most special moments of the night was performing “Magic” by Coldplay once more — this time as Dylan and Nicole’s first dance song. The same melody that marked the beginning of their engagement now marked the beginning of their married life. Guests surrounded the dancefloor, creating an intimate, glowing circle of love, laughter, and celebration.
As the evening unfolded, we transitioned from live acoustic music to our high-energy DJ wedding entertainment, turning the reception into a night of dancing, singing, and pure joy. The dancefloor stayed full, the vibes stayed high, and the love in the room was undeniable.
We also had the pleasure of working alongside the incredibly talented Michael D’Argent, who captured every magical moment with timeless photography. His work speaks for itself — natural, emotional, and beautifully curated.
From the rooftop proposal to the packed dancefloor at the Greek Club, being part of Dylan and Nicole’s love story was a true privilege. It's not every day that we get to witness and contribute to two of the most important chapters in a couple’s journey.
